      CBS News/CNET, 4/1/2017

      Researchers demonstrated that using facial recognition software can diagnose a rare disease known as DiGeorge syndrome. The facial recognition software analyzes photos of individuals’ faces to determine a diagnosis for those likely with the syndrome. Proven to be accurate in diagnoses, the software could potentially be used to detect other syndromes so patients can receive a diagnosis and receive treatment early.
